October 24 - Missing Rights:

What's Sex Got To Do With It?

American Exceptionalism and International Law

10-24 panel FB Event graphic

Unlike the majority of countries in the world, the U.S. does not protect against sex discrimination in our Constitution – it has fallen behind it peers and now ranks in the bottom 2/3 of countries for gender equality. At the current rate of "progress" the World Economic Forum estimates it will take over 200 years to reach gender equality in the U.S.

Join us for a lively discussion with the experts on where the U.S. stands on gender equality among other countries, application of international law in the U.S. and why it matters, and how the fully ratified 28th Amendment (Equal Rights) could bring the U.S. in line with our international obligations and help close the gender gap.

Note: This panel is being recorded on October 24th for future use in our legal symposiums.
